How to make my siri direct me on maps in an upgraded iPhone 4s? IOS 6.0.1?

The siri in my iPhone 4s doesn't talk on maps, I don't know what to do to make it talk. I want it to direct me to somewhere on maps.
I need your help please

Go to the Maps Application
Search for your destination (either put in a name or an address)
Tap on the Red Pin until a small pop-up with the destination's name appears (it usually appears automatically, just tap the pin if it didn't)
Tap on the little blue arrow on the small pop-up text window
Tap on "Directions to Here"
Top right-hand corner, tap on "Route"
Choose the route you want by tapping on "Route 1", "Route 2", etc.
Top right-hand corner, tap "Start"
You will now receive spoken turn-by-turn directions (remember to turn your volume up!)
To end, tap the button "End" on the top left-hand corner.

You might want to try this at home first before trying to go to your destination. You can end the turn-by-turn directions easily.

There's a google maps app in the app store now. When you download it and use it, the siri like voice will automatically direct you to where you need to get to. Play around with the app for a few minutes, slide the options, tap options, and so on to get an idea of where and how everything operates on it. I actually enjoyed it better than the apple maps.
