How to manually add songs onto my iPhone if it contains songs from 2 libraries?
I bought an iPhone last November and synched it to the iTunes on my parents' computer. When I left for college this August, I bought a MacBook Pro and installed it with my Apple ID. My Apple ID is different from the Apple ID of my parents' computer.
Since my phone's music library is synched with my parents' computer and contains songs that I did not buy with my Apple ID, iTunes will not let me manually add songs to my phone without erasing its current music library and synching it to my purchases on my Apple ID.
Can I avoid this? The majority of the songs on my phone are from my parents' iTunes and I'd rather not lose more than half the songs on my phone.
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible. The same thing happened to me when I left for college this past summer. You should ask your parents for their Apple ID. This is the only possibility I can see for you.
- Why can't I delete or add songs onto my iPhone through iTunes 11.0.4? I can delete songs directly off of my iPhone but even if they're deleted, iTunes still says they're on my iPhone. I also can't delete any songs off of OR add any songs onto my iPhone through iTunes. What is happening. I have fully updated both my iPhone and iTunes.
- Need to add new songs to iphone without deleting old songs So my old computer crashed and with that i lost all my music that was downloaded to itunes, so i only have those songs saved to my iphone now i just spent $25 on my computer downloading music, but when i went to download it onto my phone it said it didn't match up with this computer and that in order to sync new songs it would delete my entire music library on my phone! I really don't want to lose all my music but i also want my new songs on my phone!
- My iphone won't let me manually add music? For some reason everytime i try add music from different itunes it makes me delete everything.i've ticked 'maually add music' but still i have problems… Any idead? I drag the music over and it just won't copy.
- My iphone is synced to two ITunes libraries? So I'm trying to add music to my phone, but when I hit apply it tells me that I can't unless I want to erase my iphone. So I back it up right? Then hit sync and that it may erase, then come back and restore latest back up Correct? Please explain in the easiest way possible!
