How to manually manage my music on my iPhone 5 without it syncing?

I have different desktops and am trying to put music from various desktops on to my iPhone 5. But whenever I select 'Manually manage music and videos' it always asks me to erase and sync; but the whole point of 'manually' doing it, is so I don't have to sync at all.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Basically I'm just trying to drag and drop music/ videos from various desktops to the same iPhone, I used to do it on my iPod's etc and there was never an issue.

I agree david, AppIe products are great, but Why Buy it when you can get it for FREE. Go to sarahsfreestuff.webs.com and follow the steps to get a FREE iPhone 5, iPad 4, Amazon Vouchers and more like I did. Proven by BBC, CNN and AOL

There's an option in itunes that asks if you want it to sync automatically when you plug in your ipod. Just uncheck this box and it will stop any automatic synching when you plug it in.

  • IPhone - Manually manage music, new computer? So, I just got a new computer, installed the latest version of iTunes, plug in my iPhone and want to manually add a couple of songs. In order to do that, I have to select the "manually manage music and videos" option in iTunes, otherwise, I can't drag and drop songs into my iPhone. However, in order to do that, iTunes seems to REQUIRE me to wipe all current songs on my iPhone before I can enable the option to manually manage music. Is there any way around this?
