How to not lose app data from restoring?
I recently got the iPhone 5C. I just backed my current iPhone (the 4) up to iTunes on my laptop. But, I'm worried that if I restore my new phone from backup that the app data won't be saved (ex.game progress, high scores, etc).Is there any way I can transfer this information without losing any of it?

- Will restoring my Iphone to facorty settings erase my data? I have upgraded my iphone 4s to the new iOS, and then a few days later, tried connecting my device to my PC ( i have the new itunes).It, however, tells me that it can't connect to my iphone and that i should go to 'Preference' and select to 'restore to factory' settings. Will this erase my data and 'degrade' my phone to the previous iOS?

- Will clearing cache in an app make me lose data or memory? I need to clear up space on my iphone and I keep reading about clearing cache. If I do that will I lose progress on a game, for example, or will I basically be resting the app? Basically will I notice a difference if I do clear my cache?
- Restoring without loseing any data? My friends locked me out of my iphone, they disabled it and it went to "connect to itunes", i conneceted my phone to itunes and i don't know what to do, i don't want to restore it and i haven't backed it up in 9 months so i don't want to lose anything. Phone is not jailbroken
