How to play music in my car using an iPod/iPhone?

So my car doesn't have those plugs where you plug your iPod in and it plays your music. It needs a ___? I don't know what they're called and my family agreed to buy one. I don't need a speaker or anything. I want something that will connect to my car so it will play throughout the entire car. Please don't answer those music playing boxes…

This is a really simple question tbh. I'm just forgetful and forget what those things are called >.< Adapters of some sort. But i need the full name.

An FM transmitter is the only thing that will work if you don't have a USB port, 1/8" stereo jack, nor cassette deck. If you have a cassette deck, then you need an 1/8" to cassette adapter.

There's two ways you can go about this you can either get a aux cable / adapter which you plug your ipod or iphone in to to play music this can be installed by a mechanic for about a tenner depending on where you go, or you could do it yourself i you have the knowllege. You can also buy and radio transmitter for iphone which will give out a frequency from your phone (transmitter) to the radio ( it will obviously show you what staion it is set to)

You just need a radio that could support an aux cable & then of course the aux cable (double side headphone cable).

1 end into the deck, 1 end into the iPhone/iPod & you are good to go.

another alternative is the Griffin iTrip, if you don't have one that supports an aux cable, though it isn't as clear sounding but certainly liveable.
