How to put music from my computer onto Itunes then onto my iphone?

So i have music that i've got off of the internet and i wish to put it onto my IPhone using ITunes. How do i do this?

Plug in the iPod.

In iTunes hit Ctrl s to bring up the sidebar.

Click on the iPod tab on sidebar then go to the iPod summary page and scroll down. You're looking for the option for manually management of music and video. Click it.

Now open a window in Windows explorer for the folder containing your down loaded music. Drag the songs from that folder (don't worry, you don't actually be taking any music from that folder away) and drop it onto the iPhone tab on the sidebar.

Your iTunes should then copy the songs to your device.

Some idiot I suggested this insisted that manual management doesn't work on devices using the newest iTunes and version of iOS.

I've put music on iPhones and iPods using the latest version of each.

Open iTunes and follow steps below
1.file>add to library, choose file> OK
2.connect iPhone to iTunes on computer
3.click iPhone icon
4.choose the songs, music tab
5.choose sync.
or you can use another software called iPod transfer with which you can transfer any file including music, movies, photos and books between iPod and computer.

  • Is it possible to put music from my iPhone onto my new computer? So basically my computer that I had used for iTunes with all of my music on it broke and I got a new one this past Christmas. I want to take pretty much my whole library on my iPhone 4S into the iTunes library on my new computer. Is there a way to do this or am I going to have to be re-downloading all of my music again? Thanks! PS, my phone and iTunes are all updated to the most up-to-date versions.
