How to put music not from itunes onto a new computer?
Right so i got a new computer last week. I want to get 1000 of my songs from my old computers itunes library onto my new one. Problem is, these songs aren't from itunes, i downloaded them from youtubemp3.org. The itunes library on my new computer only has 100 or so songs that i have purchased from itunes. When i plug my iphone into it, none of the 1000 songs get synced onto it but only songs that are in that itunes library. This is all very confusing to me and i'm not great with computers please help!
You have three options. 1) You can connect both computers using a cable and transfer the files to your new computer or 2) You can put the music on an external drive and then transfer them that way or 3) You can put them on a USB and then just plug the USB into your new computer and then copy them from the USB into your "Music" folder. It is very simple but, if you are still having problems, take your computer(s)/external drive/USB to Microsoft or another repair place and ask for help. I doubt they would charge you for a few minutes of their time. Also, you should have an external drive anyway. Back up your files regularly.
If both pc's are working
go to your Music folder - right click the folder - select Sharing and set up the folder to share (reboot)
Then power on new pc open explorer - look down left column for folder called network in that folder - you should see you old computer - open the folder and copy those files to new location
- My computer broke with my itunes and now I can't put any new music on my iPhone? So my compter broke and all of my old iTunes is on my IPhone. I have since gotten a new computer but now I can't down lpod new songs onto my iPhone unless i down load it directly from my phone. How do I change it so my ITunes will me put music onto my iPod without erasing all my old music?
- Is it possible to put music from my iPhone onto my new computer? So basically my computer that I had used for iTunes with all of my music on it broke and I got a new one this past Christmas. I want to take pretty much my whole library on my iPhone 4S into the iTunes library on my new computer. Is there a way to do this or am I going to have to be re-downloading all of my music again? Thanks! PS, my phone and iTunes are all updated to the most up-to-date versions.
- How to save DVD files onto my computer than transfer them onto iTunes? I recently bought Green Day's "Bullet in a Bible" and "Awesome As ***" as well as All Time Low's "Straight to DVD." Since I have the physical copies, I would like to save the DVD files onto my computer so that I could transfer them onto iTunes and eventually sync them onto my iPhone. I just can't figure it out.
