Hey guys so I'm 14 and I want to start a small YouTube channel for the summer. This is all for fun so I don't need any high tech stuff. Can I record my iPhone screen for FREE. So no 7 day trials just free.

Also, no-one's going to view your channel. So it's not worth the effort.
There are no apps that will let you record your screen, it's just some weird thing that Apple won't let people do. There's, however, a software that you can download where it will create a screen recording app, but it's for iOS 6. If you still haven't upgraded to iOS 7 and still have 6, you can get it at iemulator.com, just scroll down and choose the link, RecordMyScreen (iOS 6).
