How to recored sound to iPhone through a mixer?
I have a mackie cfx mkii mixer and have an iPhone 4 what I'm trying to do is recored sound through my mixer to my iPhone I have 11 mics and direct mics running into my mixer/soundboard mackie and have the 1/4 " jacks coming out of the AUX send to a 3.55 mm jack plugged into my iPhone4 I've Tryed a few apps -italk- "free" and -GarageBand- "5$" to try and recored I've read online that people sometimes have problem with the external mic on the phone but I caint seem to get any sound to come through my jack into my phone only the external mic will pick up sound. My whole goal is to be able to recored my band well we play with only capturing the sound that comes through the mixer/ soundboard instead of hearing all the extra sounds being heard only using my external mic. No sound is coming through to recored if you have any idea of what I'm doing wrong please help I would be greatly appreciate your time. The headphone jack on an iPhone is only an audio out, it doesn't sense any signal in, which is why nothing you are using is picking up any sound. I mean, I can't explain any more than that. It sends audio out and will take an input from headphones only if it meets certain requirements. This would require more expertise than I have, but just from what you are saying, it doesn't sound like this is something that is easily achieved. You are better off recording into a PC using the microphone input and Audacity or Garageband (if you have a Mac).
- Sound will not play through iPhone 5 speakers I plugged my iphone in to my toshiba computer to charge when i got a text. It made a glitchy sound and now no sound will play through the speakers unless i suck on the speaker, and even then it makes a scratchy sound of the song i'm playing. Please help! - On my iPhone all sound is coming through ear speaker, how do I fix this? Alot, if not all sound other than calls on speaker mode, come out the ear speaker rather than the bottom speaker next to the mic, (by ear speaker I mean the speaker you hear from during calls), any way to fix this?
