How to remove iCloud from the iPhone 5?

I was blessed enough to get an iPhone 5 but all my files and contacts and apps and stuff are showing up on my moms phone and I'd prefer that this doesn't happen. How do I log out of iCloud so this doesn't happen?

You will need to turn off iCloud. Go to Settings and this tap to slide off iCloud. You can also delete the iCloud account, but there will be no way to backup items from your phone. The problem is that your iCloud is attached to the same Apple ID as your mom's. You can register a new Apple ID and see if this helps.

  • Remove icloud off iPhone without password? I have Find My iPhone on my iPhone 5, I'm stuck on the activation screen and I don't remember the password to sign back in to the icloud account. I called APPLE and received an email to reset it but read it after it expired. Now when I call back and give them the security questions they all show up wrong. So is there a way I can get around the activation screen or a process I can do so I won't have to enter the apple id and password?
