How to remove jailbreak?
I've been jailbroken on my old/broken(screen) iPhone 6s for a few months and it hasn't been a good experience so I would like to remove the jailbreak. The problem is that I can't seem to be able to download Electra directly from/to my Iphone (of tutuapp/tweakbox). My computer recognises my iPhone as i have just bought a new charging cable today (official from apple, not 3rd party), but iTunes/cydia impactor don't. Many of my iphones apps/abbilities don't work at all (appstore for example). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for my bad english, sorry if this is stupid/annoying but i don't know what to do anymore as i'm not the most experienced with this kind of stuff.
Your best bet would be to just put the phone in DFU mode and restore it within iTunes. This will update the phone to the latest version and will erase everything, including the jailbreak.
- Would backing up then restoring an iphone remove a jailbreak? Due to the recent release of IOS 7, i plan on updating my iphone 5(ios 6.1.2) but it is jailbroken. Would backing up then restoring my iphone keep all my pictures and app data while removing the jailbreak? If not what is your best recommendation for me to do. Would really appreciate an answer thanks!
- If I update iOS, will it remove my jailbreak? I have an iPhone 5 currently on iOS 6.1. I no longer want the jailbreak because it's causing too many problems, so if I update iOS to 6.1.4, will it remove the jailbreak? Will it remove my pictures, contacts, and other stuff as well? I don't want to restore it because if I do then everything WILL be deleted and I don't feel like backing up everything, it would take too long haha.
- If i jailbreak an iphone can i unlock it then remove jailbreak? So my Mum just got given an iPhone 4 by her brother, she needs to unlock it to be able to use it with her network but she doesn't want it jailbroken and doesn't won't to have to pay for it… So if I use jailbreak to unlock the device could I then remove Cydia and it would still be unlocked?
- How to restore my iPhone to remove jailbreak and then unlock it? I want to remove the jailbreak from my iPhone by restoring it however it isn't unlocked to 3 so if I do it, it will ask for a sim which I don't have. Is there a way to restore it then unlock it to 3 without jailbreaking it? It is a iPhone 3GS by the way. Ffs just went on my phone and its stuck on the apple boot logo, the power button don't work so i can't turn it on or off and its not being recognised by itunes!
