How to remove sms attachments from iOS file system?

My other on my iPhone takes up 4GB this is because of SMS attachments pics and vids that stay in the file system even after deleting the messages. I have looked through the file system and found all the images and videos, but have no way of deleting them.

Is there a program that allows me to open one of my iPhone backups, delete the sms attachments and restore my iphone using that backup, the one with the deleted attachments.

  • Why won't attachments download? For 2 days I've been unable to download any attachments. I've changed browser, so it is not a browser issue. My husband's yahoo e-mail on a different computer has the same problem. BUT he can open on his some on Iphone.
  • Why are my emails from my iphone being sent as attachments? I call up a contact and select the email address. I type the email and send it. But when it arrives to the person I'm sending it to it is an attachment. When it arrives to the recipient it says my telephone number and YOU HAVE BEEN SENT A PICTURE MESSAGE. How can I make my emails be just that an email and not an attachment.

  • Photo is rotated in attachments.how do I stop this? I want to upload photos from my iphone to my computer, so I send them to my own email to be saved on my computer by downloading to the download file, then save. But when I open the attachment, it's rotated (usually to the left). I've tried many sizes to send it… Still no luck.
