How to remove the wallpaper gradient in an Iphone?

I've been googling it, but this instruction keeps coming up
"go to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard… "

but how do you access the code above?
Do you download an app?
Do you go to settings?

I created a tweak on Cydia that did that, but I never tested if it worked on iOS 6 (because I've since moved to Android). I originally created it for iOS 4, but I tested it on 5 and it worked on that so it should work on iOS 6.

Just search for this on Cydia: Icon Shadow Fixer for iOS 4 and iPad. Also make sure you have Winterboard installed and you will have to be jailbroken
