How to reset my 3gs restrictions code?
My locations service is grayed out on my iphone 3gs and in the off position.
I've been to restrictions in the settings>general and it wants a code which i can't remember.
I can't use the back up facility as i recently had to format my my HDD (virus)
Any thoughts / solution would be greatly appreciated.
Hold the lock button and the the home button together for 10 seconds. This will reset your iPhone completely
- My iPhone 4s won't let me reset it without a restrictions passcode? It says I need to put in the restriction password to do it but I never made a restriction password I don't know what it's talking about… Is there a way to erase that password I have no idea what it is or how it's on there
- IPhone restrictions pass code? I got a new iPhone 5 and I'm going through the settings and came across "Restrictions." It asks me for a pads code but I don't know what it is… Is there a default? If so, what is it? I tries 0000 but it failed and now it says "1 failed attempt" or something like that. I know that I have never set a code for it. What could it be?

I really don't want to reset my phone as i will lose all my messages/pictures/app progress. Is there anyway i can retrieve the pass code? If i go into an Apple store will they be able to get me a new pass code?
