How to reset my Iphone so that everything gets deleted?

I'm giving away iphone soon because I don't like it anymore. Everyone has one and I prefer Blackberry. I want to know how to delete/erase everything off my phone so that it will be like new. I hate that after deleting numbers you can still see their name & number if you act like you're going to text them. And also I have tons of pictures on my phone and I don't want anyone to see my iCloud stuff or have my apple ID. I just want to reset my phone so everything disappears. Any iphone savy people here that can help me? If so, thanks!

Connect it to your pc and go to itunes and in the sync men you will see restore to factory settings

Connect your phone to the computer and go to iTunes and then you can go to restore which will start your phone over like it was brand new

Go into the settings and then go into the general section. Then at the bottom is says reset and reset all settings. It can also be done from itunes when you connect the phone to the computer i think.

Everything is good but when i plug in my iphone to sync, itunes loses the file locations and i take a look at my external hard drive and all my music is gone.
