How to rid delete account off Lg optimus q (Lg esteem)?

I got the Lg Optimus Q off my cousin who was using straight talk for it.
When he gave it to me he was switching his account from it to an iphone.
But My phone still says his phone number in settings.
and the service state says in service.
but the Lg optimus isn't activated.
i can't call txt or use internet for it so i'm confused.
How do i competey wipe all this off the phone back to new without any account on it?

Sometime it remains till it activated through carrier. But try a factory reset, and see if that helps. As far as I know its written in by the network till its reactivated
