How to save you iPhone 5 after being dropped in a toilet?
I don't have money for my phone to get replaced. I dropped it in the toilet earlier today, I hurried up and dried it completely and turned it off. When I got home i put it in some rice. I noticed that all of a sudden my phone turned on. It had some kind of error message at the top and the apple sign in the middle. When I tried to turn it off, some shatter stuff appeared in the middle of the screen, the phone still refused to turn off. I just left it back in the rice, is their anyway my phone will survive this tragedy?
My iphone 4 survived in the pool for a solid 30 seconds. It took about 5 days just to dry out normally and then when I plugged it in it turned on.
First up, always remove the battery, then leave in a sealed jar with a dessicant [oven dried rice, breadcrumbs, silica].
It's a long shot because you left it connected to a power source when there may have been circuits shorted out.
Put it on rice & leave it there for 12 hours…
Do not turn on the phone and put it in the rice.
