How to send full quality videos through iMessage?

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.4.Im filming a project and other people with iPhone 4's sent me videos they recorded through iMessage on 3G and the videos came out grainy and bad. How can I revive their videos in full quality. Only one out of the 4 videos came out good. Could it be because they sent it using their data. Will sending it through Wi-Fi to iMessage help? What can I do to receive their videos in full quality?

Have them send it by email. IMessage may compress the video at some point, while attaching it to an email will not.

  • Why does my iPhone receive good quality videos as bad quality videos? So I recently met a famous guy in concert and when I got a picture wth him I was getting a video and my friend used her phone to video it. So she sent it to me and it was like terrible quality and the video was like little with a huge black border around it. But yet it looks perfectly fine on her phone? How do I fix it? Whenever I try to get video editing apps it always says error & only with that particular video. I have an iPhone 5c, and so does my friend.

I added him and he appears on my contact list. The messages I try to send him won't deliver. But I can call him through Face Time(video and Audio).
  • My iPhone won't let me send video's through Viber or iMessage? I have an iPhone 3g (yes its old, who cares) not sure what update it is. All of a sudden it won't let me send video's and this is a 0:39 video and I use to send like 5 minute videos through imessage no problem now all of a sudden its stopped. I've uninstalled a crap load of apps and pictures and no change in anything. Please help me and tell me what's wrong >:( Appreciate everyone who helps
  • Just got Spotify Premium. Switched the music quality to extreme, and the quality isn't good? There must be something that I have to do because the quality sounds the same, even though I switched it to extreme. I made sure that I wasn't imagining it - I played my iTunes copy and it sounded so much better. This is the iPhone app, if that matters. What's the solution?
