How to set a song as a ringtone on my iPhone 7 Plus?
It's saved in my library on my phone but doesn't allow me to set it as a ringtone.
Ringtones are supposed to be in the ringtone section in iTunes so it would be available as an option on the phone

You can find directions online to convert a sample of a favorite audio file, into a ring tone. You need to start by trimming the audio into a section no more than 30 seconds long. So go download the program Audacity and learn how to use it. Then you need to convert those mp3 files to m4a or m4r files. It is not hard - like any recipe, just read the directions and do EXACTLY what they say. After you do the first couple, you will get good at this, and make a whole bunch you can switch out at will - and even make them for your friends. We're professional classical musicians, and our son has his Master degree in Digital Music - so he taught us years ago how to do this. We like having UNIQUE ringtones, that come from classical music - lots of fun. So - get Audacity, trim out and save what you want, as mp3 - then proceed to the next step once you find a set of direction you like. I think e-how has a clear set, if I recall.
