How to set up a personal hotspot on my iphone 4?

How do i set up a hotspot on my iphone 4? I'm on giffgaff. IOS 6.1.3:) if that helps!

You can't, only iphone 5

Personal hotspot has to be an option not only on your iPhone, but by your provider as well. I'm unfamiliar with Giffgaff, so I can't speak for certain if they allow your iPhone to act as a hotspot. I searched this site:

And Giffgaff is not listed on it… So either they aren't a hotspot supporter, or you may need to add that feature to your plan. You're probably best off calling their support line for more information.

If they do provide Personal Hotspot capabilities, the standard way to turn on your hotspot is to go to "SETTINGS" and turn on the "PERSONAL HOTSPOT" option (it's the 4th option down on my iPhone).

And, in deference to the previous poster, I have confirmed on numerous sites, including Apple's own site, that the iPhone 4's did provide Personal Hotspot support:

Even the 3G and 3GS provide the ability to be used as a hotspot, but only via USB or Bluetooth. The iPhone 4 or later add Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity.

WARNING: Make sure your contract allows you to set up a personal hotspot or you could get into trouble

1. Go to settings
2. Tap on Person Hotspot
3. Switch Personal Hotspot ON

  • Who is connected in my personal hotspot in iphone? I need to know who is connected, because i have 2 connected now while i only connect this to my ipad.
