How to set up voice mail greeting on iPhone 3?

Apparently all you have to do is hit "voice mail" and then "greeting" and "custom" or whatever. But the problem is, when I hit voice mail, it takes me straight to voice mail, no greeting or custom button anywhere in sight. Just a keypad and the robot lady telling me about my current voice mails. I listened to all the options she listed, and not a single one has something about making your own voice mail greeting. Settings doesn't have anything either; I checked. What do I do now?

BTW, I have T-Mobile. If that helps. Maybe.

Usually what I did wa call my phone number(ya it's weird) but then she says to out your password and then gives u options. For me I have to press 4 for personal options and then 3 for greetings! Hopefully it works.

  • Voice mail setup on iPhone 3GS? I have an iPhone 3GS and when I try and access my voice mail it says,"Hello, ween need some more information to access your voice mail. Please enter the ten digit number you are trying to access or press pound to access your voice mail. I tried both and nothing is working and I never set up my voice mail before on this phone. Any thoughts?
  • Is this normal for your voicemail greeting to do? I have a custom voicemail greeting on my iPhone. I wanted to change it back to the default but before I did I wanted to listen to my custom voicemail greeting one more time before taking it off. When I pushed play it was suddenly a new custom greeting but it was not me and didn't sound like anyone I know. I'm confused and now left wondering how this happen?

  • IPhone 4 Voice mail Password? My iPhone has been asking me for my voice mail password for a few days now, and I just haven't had the time to fix it so I've just been ignoring it. Now the notification won't go away and i can't access my phone, or even shut it off. Any ideas how to get it off?
