How to set your own music as your ringtone on iphone 4s?

I downloaded a ringtone from a free music app and it has appeared in my music but I don't know how to set it as my ringtone on a iphone 4s.

If its jailbroken install unlimitones

if its not (why not)

but really if its not then install a program on pc called

Bigasoft.iPhone.Ringtone.Maker

select the track select then 30 second portion of it you want to use and sync. It will add it to rintones on itunes and sync to your phone
