How to sort out storage on my iPhone 4?
I have a 5GB storage limit on my iPhone. It says I have used 2.1GB on music, 1.9GB on videos and 900MB on photos. It then says that I've used 5.8GB and that I have 533MB available. None of this adds up! I would like to update my iPhone to iOS7 but it says that you need at least 2.9MB of storage available to download it. How can I sort this all out?
Are you sure it's not an 8GB iPhone? I thought that was the smallest storage size Apple made. Try checking in your Settings > General > About, it should say how much your capacity is there. If it is you should haven total of 6.2GB capacity which would account for being able to use 5.8GB of space.
I also think you need 2.9GB to install iOS 7, not MB (or at least that's what my phone needed). The fastest way to get enough space would be to delete all your music and upload it again once the download has finished.
- My iPhone has ran out of storage and I just deleted a lot of photos and videos and there's still no storage So I moved a whole lot of photos and videos to iCloud Drive and deleted them off the phone itself to clear space up but it still says there's no storage left.
