How to speed up Chrome on my Mac?

So I've recently bought a Mac computer with decent specs for what I need (12GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, 2.7GHz Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB Graphics), but for some odd reason, my Chrome is incredibly slow. I can run Minecraft, Portal 2, and whole slew of games without dropping frames, but I have to wait 5 minutes to load up the beginning of a 2 minute 480p Youtube video! It's not my internet, as it works fine on all of my other devices (iPhone, iPad, laptop). This slowness also occurs when tryping (such as in this box), as well as any other video site on the internet. I've tried using CCleaner to clean everything, but nothing seems to work!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this very odd problem?

You have to be sure that it's the Chrome Web Browser, not your Mac's Internet Connection, that's causing the slow-down.

Does the same thing happen when you try to use the built-in SAFARI Web Browser? If not, stop using Chrome.

And, you didn't say whether your Mac's Internet connection is Wireless, or, it uses an Ethernet cable to connect to your ISP's Cable Modem. If Wireless, try to use an Ethernet Cable, instead, your ISP should have given you a cable.
