How to stop 02 from taking £1 of my credit everyday for 50mb?
I got a iPhone a few weeks ago and put £10 credit on but everyday I got this alert from 02 that they have taken £1 of my credit to use for 50mb please tell me how to stop this as it is making me run out of credit quickly thanks in advance
I recommend you contact O2. I use their tariffs and the data is all included. For £10 a month I get 5000 free texts, 350 minutes and 500mb Internet. It doubles every month.
Two solutions
1) Switch off mobile data 3G in settings and only use Wi-Fi for free
or
2) call up O2 and subscribe to a one-off payment data plan.
You either
- Disable MOBILE data in the settings
(so it uses Wi-Fi only - if available)
- buy one of
- 100MB of data for 1 month = 3 pounds of your credit
or
- 500MB of data for 1 month = 6 pounds of your credit
there's a 1GB option also

If you don't have any data plan on the tariff you have on the PAYG, then it will take off money each day if you use any internet.
First of all, make sure the mobile data is switched off. If it is switched on, then it will use some data in the course of the day, even if you don't browse the internet - the phone will check for updates from time to time, and this uses data. Not a lot, but since it uses it, you get charged.
So, keep mobile data turned off. Only use the Wi-Fi option to access online - any updates will just happen when Wi-Fi is on, and this does not affect any mobile data because it is accessing the internet in a different way and separate to the mobile signal.
If you wish to be able to use mobile data, then you need to contact O2 and see about getting a tariff that includes data, or see if they do an add on. This would cost you, but it is still cheaper than being charged £1 per day.
- When I try to download certain apps on my iPhone, it says This Item Is Over 50MB? It also says 'You must connect to a Wi-Fi network or use iTunes on your computer to download it.' I've even turned on the Wi-Fi network on my iPhone & I have attempted to download it on my MacBook. It won't download!
- What everyday items do we use today that we didn't have in 2006? I'm making a youtube video about things that werent around or popular when I was 16 (in 2006) that are extremely well known or used by to the everyday teenager in 2013 Examples: Iphone Justin Bieber Facebook Twitter MySpace was number 1 lol Any other things you may have in mind?
- Tipard iphone transfer. I moved files all failed none in my phone but the space is only 50mb left? It worked nice before but now not. itunes always delete my files so don't want to use that. How do people put files into their iphones? Do they all just pay and download because it's way too difficult and stressfull?
- IPhone 5c randomly taking my credit? I just topped up £10 and when i went to double check my credit i only had £9.31 anyone know why it is randomly taking my credit? How am i using my phone too much when i bought it 3 days ago and i only use it for texting and listening to music. The problem is that it takes credit when i don't text or do anything on it
