How to stop downloading iOS 6?

I got iOS 6 on my iPod and I HATE it and so does everyone else that has it. My mom's iPhone 4S is downloading it right now and she wants to know how to stop it. She doesn't have a computer to plug her phone into, so she can't restore it. How do you stop it!

Don't stay in setting do some thing else like if you are watching something a video it will fail

You can't, sorry. Look on the bright side, if you don't like it (which I did), Apple will make an update in a week or two which will make it better.

It's the same boring "os" apple always come out.huge icons that do nothing interesting.

Yes turn off Wi-Fi then go back to the download progress in software update and it will say paused and the button below will say resume download. That worked for me
But if you go back on Wi-Fi it starts again so it's temporary

You need to be connected to a Wi-Fi router or hotspot.iOS update requires Wi-Fi connection. Then you need to disconnect the Internet from your Wi-Fi router. The easiest way is to unplug the incoming Ethernet cable or telephone line in case your Wi-Fi router is also your adsl modem.iOS update will time out because it will not have access to the apple update server. That's it. Just don't hit update again.
