How to stop her doing this again? - 1

My girlfriend recently dumped me because of a series of flirtatious text messages with a girl I had a tiny bit of history with.we've been talking for about a week now after I moved out and things seem better between us, all the bad blood seems to be gone and what I feared the most seems like it will pass. I feared that if we ever got back together that it wouldn't be the same. We both have exams at uni so we decided to wait until uni is over to get back together officially. Just the other day my ex said for the first time in weeks she doesn't feel any anger towards me, she actually misses me and wants to see me and thinks we can make things work.
The problem is the girl who I had the flirtatious text messages has an alcohol problem. Its only coming to my attention now. We're friends and because of what we did it's damaged our friendship because she does like me but knows she can't have me. She was just enjoying her and I flirting because she would soon leave the country and wasn't sure if she'd ever come back. I said that we can't talk even as friends as much as we did before because i'm trying to fix my relationship and its my priority. As a result she took it the wrong way and said she doesn't want to talk to me because it hurts too much. But every now and again she gets drunk and sends me drunken text messages. Now i've told my Girlfriend that I'm not talking to her which i'm not but i'm worried as to what i should do, I can't block her on my iphone. And if my girlfriend sees the text messages that she sends me sometimes she won't be happy. But this time i'm not actually doing anything. I know it's my fault but I want nothing more than for my relationship to work. What do I do, Grinding it out isn't gonna help and talking to her isn't either because I think she's an alcoholic. What do I do?

Added (1). I don't think all three of us talking in person is going to help in all honesty

My friend used to have this kind of situation before. He also asked me on what to do… It was real effective when the three of them talked personally and fixed things. Because by doing it alone is kinda difficult.however, it depends on how each party accepts what each of you says.

You started it and it was stupid but then you stopped and thats good.
You can do nothing about the other girl texting you and sometimes ignorance is a bless when it comes to your girlfriend knowing about the texts, but if she does find out on her own, it will be a problem.

How about telling your girlfriend about it and make sure she can't be blaming you anymore because you stopped texting with that girl? Show your girlfriend the msgs and tell her you've got nothing to do with them.

Its a small matter and you seem genuine about your feelings towards your girlfriend. Your girlfriend needs to see this. Make her see it:-)
