How to stop incoming texts and calls while over seas?

I have an iphone 5s and I will be traveling in Europe for the next little bit. I would like to bring it with me, but I don't want any other charges aside from my regular bill. I would like to be able to connect to the internet and send iMessages, but I don't want any calls or texts. I have data roaming off already and I still get texts so, please, don't suggest that. Also, because I need the internet, airplane mode doesn't work. Is there a way to do this without removing the SIM card?

If you have an iphone turn it to airplane mode. Airplane Mode terminates all communication to and from your iPhone. Specifically, it switches off.

You can re-enable Wi-Fi after enabling Airplane Mode. So you should use that to avoid calls & texts.

Airplane mode. And then turn on Wi-Fi signal or remove sim card.

  • My iphone power button is broken, how do I cancel incoming calls? So my power button is broken and i'm on assistive touch but the problem with assistive touch is that to get to the power button i have to press the dot then a sub menu then the lock so to cancel an incoming call i have to press six times and it's kinda annoying, so is there a shortcut where i can cancel the calls by one or two touches can i change the function of other buttons to make it cancel the call?

When i call my iphone from another phone it rings but nothing comes up on the iphone also i can't call out from the iphone, when i call nothing happens. Any ideas? Is working!   • My Iphone Declines Incoming Calls When My Phone is Locked? My Iphone 3GS with the latest iOS 6 update keeps declining calls when its locked. My phone never rings nor does it alert me when i get a text message.
