How to stop my Gold MacBook from deleting photos I delete off my IPhone?
I just recently bought the new Gold MacBook. It's connected to my phone too. So when I take pictures on my phone, it automatically has them on the MacBook. Recently I just deleted a lot of my photos so my phone wouldn t be cluttered. But when I went on my MacBook to my photos, the ones I deleted on my phone were all gone! It's okay if I can't get them back I guess. I just want to prevent this from happening in the future. So how do I stop it? IIm usually tech savvy but in this situation IIm lost.
First, in the Photos app on the computer, go to File > Export and save all valued photos to an external drive or (less safe) to some folder on the computer.
Then open System Preferences > iCloud.
Remove the check mark for "Photo Stream".
iCloud's Photo Stream is just a way to share photos, not storage. It has a 1,000 photo limit and a 30 day limit. Also, as you have found, if the shared photo is deleted, it is no longer available for sharing. Get in the habit of making a *BACKUP*.
- Will deleting passbook on iphone 4 delete my photos? If I delete passbook on my iphone 4, will this delete my pictures, or messages or apps or anything like that? Will it clear a lot of storage on my phone?
