How to successfully put an AT&T sim card in an unlocked Verizon iPhone 4S?

Acquired an unlocked previously verizon 4s, would like to put my at&t iphone 3gs sim card in it
be wary i have researched and spent countless hours learning all about the specifics of GSM/CDMA, unlocking, and foreign country roaming policies. So please do not stray off topic and give specific answers/reasonings.

If your iPhone is unlocked you can use it with any sim card and carrier.

Verizon only unlocks phones for use outside of the US.AT&T or other US SIMs don't work. If it is in fact fully unlocked though then there isn't a problem and it should just go right in.

Using any method to unlock the phone otherwise without Verizon's permission is against the law now, so if it's not fully unlocked now then you can't legally do so yourself.

  • Will an unlocked iphone 3g work with Verizon if i put in an AT&T sim card? I got a friend's iPhone 3G, it was originally AT&T but i unlocked it, can i use the AT&T sim card that was originally in it and have it work for verizon?
  • What SIM card should I use to put my unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c on straight talk? I just purchased a GSM unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c and am currently trying to put it on straight talk. I've purchased the BYOP kit from walmart and I know I need to use the nano sim but IIm not sure if I should use the at&t compatible SIM card or the T mobile? Or does it not matter? Any feedback would be really appreciated.
  • Should I put my metroPCS 25$ sim card into an unlocked iphone? I got this metroPCS 25$ plan. They gave me a very bad (unlocked/sim card) phone with a sim card inside it. Second day, i put this sim card into another phone that was unlocked, called it and it worked. I'm planning on buying an unlocked iphone to take out my sim card out of my bad phone and put it inside the iphone. Please tell me if it is gonna work? Will i have problems with metroPCS? Will it work on other unlocked smartphones and so on.
  • If I put a SIM card into an unlocked iPhone will it lock it to that phone? I recently received an unlocked iPhone 5s as a replacement from LifeProof. The point is, it says ATT unlocked. It says SIM required when I turn on the phone. I have a sim card but it's from my current service which I'm going to cancel so I don't know if there's a way to bypass the sim required. Or if I use my current sim card will I no longer be able to use another one?
