How to supply power to an iphone aux/video cord in your car?
I have an auxiliary cord in my car that is connected to a system or what not and it plays music and, when I'm parked, videos. Unfortunately, it does not charge my iPhone when it is connected. Is there any way to possibly connect it or redirect it to where it actually charges my phone? The brand is iSimple.
Please let me know if you have any clue as to how I can connect it so it supplies power.
AUX cables can't charge devices. They only transfer audio/video. Your head unit must have a usb/ipod input to be able to charge devices while they play. If your head unit doesn't have this then you could use one of these.

AUX inputs do NOT charge any battery to any moble devices at all. You need a USB port installed in order to charge you iPhone. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then go get a car charger
You can get a cig lighter charger for the iphone. However, if you are saying that the cord connects to the bottom of the iphone, then it is possible that you have an older version of the adapter that may need to be upgraded in order to charge the iphone. Not all ipod/iphones have the same voltage requirements to charge.

Once I take it off charge, the phone lasts for 1-2minutes (it is fully charged) and switches off. Then I try turn turn it back on, and it says it needs charging. please could someone give a reason for why this is and also how to tackle it. I will also give points for answers!
