How to switch a AT&T iPhone to become part of my verizon contract?
I recently broke my I phone 4, my friend has an old iPhone 4 that he would give but I have Verizon and he has AT&T, is it possible for me to switch it?
You can't. Verizon and AT&T use two different types of Wireless networks.
Verizon does not use SIM cards to identify their phones like AT&T and without a SIM card, most AT&T (or other GSM phones) are useless.
Sorry, find someone with an AT&T iPhone.
It is not possible. The iPhone 4 for AT&T is a GSM model and Verizon uses a CDMA network. They are incompatible.
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- When will the iphone 5 become free with a 2-year contract? I realize the iphone 5 is new and costs about $200 with a 2-year contract. I'm wondering how long it will take to get one for free with a 2-year contract or the price at least go down?
- What will happen to my contract if i switch to an iphone? I currently have a pantech pursuit 2, in march i will get an iphone 3gs, will my contract be renewed or will i still be on the same contract?
- Switch to iPhone mid-contract? I currently have an LG Cosmos 2 from Verizon. I'm on a shared plan with my family, and I believe it is a 2-year contract that I've had for a year and 3 months (it was late August of '11). Can I switch to an iPhone before the contract is up? How much will it cost? I plan to get the free iPhone 4 so I don't care about the phone cost, just how much it costs to change before the contract is up.
