How to switch between text message and iMessage without turning 3G/iMesage off?
Okay so my boyfriend just got an iPhone, but he doesn't have much data, so when he's out he turns off his 3G and switches to texting. However when I try to text him, it still says I'm sending it as an iMessage. It won't send him texts. The only way I can send him a text is by turning my own iMessage off. But I don't want to be turning my iMessage off because that is the only way I talk to everyone else in my phone book.
Is there any way I can send him texts while he's out and then switch to be able send him iMessages when he has Internet without turning my iMesage on/off constantly and being unable to contact anyone else while it is off?
It should switch automatically when you hit send. If that's not working i don't know what's up
If it doesn't automatically change you should be able to double click the imessage once you've sent it and click "send as a text message"
- Why is my iPhone 5 turning off and not turning back on? This has happened twice now. My iPhone 5 has turned off in the middle of the night with a full charge and off the charger, and when I try to turn it back on it takes a couple tries. Has anybody experienced this?
- Why can't this stupid Iphone recognize when to differentiate between imessage and regular message? I'm talking about when an iphone user sends me a regular message and my phone sends back an imessage. Why? Why…
- What this difference between iMessage and text message? I just got my iPhone not to long ago. I notice when I text some people it says iMessage does that mean they have an iPhone too or what?
- What's the difference between iMessage and text message on an iPhone? So I got an iPhone 4S for my upgrade, and when I text certain people who have iPhones it comes out as iMessage, in blue. And yes I text their number, not email. However my dad has an iPhone too, and when I text him it comes out as text message. So I'm kinda confused?
