For OS 10.7 or later and iOS 5 or later…
- Open System Preferences on the computer.
- Choose iCloud.
- Sign in.
- For all the options, have a check for "Contacts".
- On the iPhone, choose Settings > iCloud.
- Sign in.
- For "Contacts", press and hold on top of the slide-switch icon to get a green effect ("on").
