How to take my iphone 5c off two year contract?

I recently got an Iphone 5c on plan, well my boyfriend did. I'm a stay at home mom and he is refusing to pay the phone bill. It's with verizon So I was wanting to sell this one then get me a tracphone. But I need to take it off my two year plan without paying the 300 to do so. How can I come about doing this?

You don't. You are locked in.

I don't understand this question at all. You're on a contract that's what the bill pays for. Simply taking that phone off and replacing it with another won't reduce your bill. You're on contract for data and that's what you're paying for no matter what phone you get.

  • T mobile user wants iphone 5, monthly price of two year contract? I'm a tmobile user that really wants to get the iphone 5.Is there any way to get the iphone 5 and still use tmobile, or will i be forced to open a new contract no matter what if i want the iphone 5? I'm apart of a tmobile family plan and it is only $30-40 a month, and I heard that the 2 year contract is $100+ a month.
  • Is a two year contract actually two years? I just recently got a new job that will allow me to splurge a little bit and finally upgrade my phone. I hope to switch from Straight talk over to AT&T so i don't have to continue paying $300+ when I need a new phone. The iphone 6 is about $100 with AT&T s two year contract, and then I'm eligible for an upgrade. Will I be held in that two year contract or would I be able to upgrade earlier to a more recent version? How much does it generally cost to upgrade early?
  • IPhone 5 two year contract with Verizon? I want to get the iPhone 5. What happens when you sign up for a new two year contract. Does your previous phone contract have to be up because I have had it for almost a year now but want a new one.
  • If i got the iphone 5 would i still have to pay for a two year contract? I want a new phone because i hate my samsung galaxy s3 (DO NOT GET IT) and i'm switching onto a plan with someone in verizon.(i currently have verizon i'm just going on their plan too). Would there still be a two year contract if it was a used iphone or maybe because since it isn't the newest version of iphone it just wouldnt? Sorry i don't understand any of that stuff.
