How to tell how many gigs an iPhone without a SIM card has?
A customer left their iPhone at my work about 7 months ago and no one has ever came forth and claimed it. So I'm going to sell it with the permission of my manager. It is an iPhone 5, and it was connected to someone's apple ID and had a lock on it so I removed the SIM card. With no access to settings or without having a box for the iPhone, how can I figure out how many gigs it has on it?
Some ios versions and carriers must insert a sim. Is this the screen you are stuck on? It does not have to be an active sim just as ling as it is of the original carrier (att, sprint etc) even put an active one in their it will not show on that persons account so there's no risk. Another method is to press the blue "!" symbol on the first start screen, and use the imei with a pay website that gives full iphone info based off of that imei number.
Plug it into the computer it should tell you in itunes
You wouldn't be able to do much with it with that lock anyway since it would require the original owner's Apple ID to get through. Just an FYI.
As far as telling how much GB, you could try to plug it into a computer to see if that helps, running iTunes.
- Why has my iphone 5 on contract come without a sim card? I got an iphone 5 for Christmas. My dad ordered it online from the 02 store on a special online exclusive contract. The contract is £32 a month and that includes unlimited calls and texts and 1GB data. However when i opened the box with the phone in i found that it hadn't come with a sim card, and my old sim card won't fit into an iphone. I'm not to sure where to get a sim card for it from or how much it will cost? Any ideas?
- Why does my iPhone 5 which Is sold with 32 gigs say only 28.1 gigs available? I got a 32 gig iPhone 5 and in the systems it says it's capacity is 28.1 gigs. I'm guessing it has something to do with system files and the iOS, but I'm not sure
- How many gigs iphone 5 should i get? Not the 64, but between 16 and 32… Heres y i'm conflicted: 1.price, 16 saves me 100 bucks 2. I have an 8 gig nano and 5 gigs are used 3. If i get the 16 i can keep my nano and just not have music on my phone 4. If i get 32 i can sell my nano and only have to worry about 1 device so what would you do? An other points i need to consider?
- How many extra gigs on iPhone? I'm getting an iPhone 5 for Christmas and am not sure how much space I will need. On my 4th gen iPod touch I'm using 25 gigs. I was considering getting a 32 gig iPhone, but that only leaves 7gigs to grow. Is that enough? Does storing contacts and photos take up a lot of space? Should I opt for the 64 gig instead? What are your opinions?
