How to tell if a text message is fake?
Weird question but someone recently sent me some screenshots of a conversation they had with a mutual friend, who was saying bad things about me, my girlfriend and our daughter. I showed the messages to this person who said they were "phony" texts and that he never sent them. He showed me there's a website where people can actually create iphone messages, and says that's probably how our friend did it. It all sounds ridiculous. Is there a way to identify if a text message for iphone is real or not? Or am I just going to have to pick someone to trust?

Anyone can fake a conversation. All you need is that website or you can text a friend and change the contact name to make it sound like someone is talking bad about you.
You can add a different contact number under your friend contact name, it will look like your freidn is sending a message.
There are many ways to capture and split photos to have a contact number on top and another conversation on the bottom.
The best way is to ask your friend. "Have you spoken to… Lately?"

I'm not sure if other cellphone companies have it but Verizon shows a check mark if the text message is delivered to another Verizon user. I was wondering if anyone knew about it? Maybe not because it's not released 'till September 21st? I like to know if the person actually got my text.
