How to tell if iPhone is capable with a certain network?

Ok so I just bought an iPhone from a guy off Craigslist. He said that it was flashed to cricket and it would work if I tried to activate it. Well I dialed 411 and it said "welcome to Verizon wireless". I don't know if it said that because he phone ain't activated right now or what. What would be the best way to find out if it is capable with cricket without going up to the store.

Go to settings, general, about, then either meid or imei (will begin with a100001… Or 99000… If on Verizon). Give that to customer service to see if it is reported lost/stolen and on the negative list with Verizon. 411 on a Verizon phone will be like calling information to look up a phone number. Call *611 which is customer service to check.

  • Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case.
