How to tell if my iphone is factory unlocked?

I went to a phone store near my house and they unlocked my iPhone 3GS and put in a prepaid SIM card. Everything is working fine so far. I just want to know if there's a way for me to determine if my phone is truly factory unlocked?

Well it depends if they all come normal. And their made be protoypes that are diiferent in case. But, no is not factory unlocked (if I answered correctly).

Basically the only way to check that yourself is to get a Network Check for your IMEI from one of the big online vendors like http://www.cellfservices.com/ as they can usually get this checked within a few minutes.

Update the software to the latest… If your sim no longer works chances are the phone was jailbroken and unlocked via software.

there's no need for jailbreaking the device or using any sim attachments, etc… And it's a permanent unlock just like a "factory unlock".
