How to transfer all my music and album art onto my new IPhone 5?
I just got a new IPhone 5 and i just wanted to know how to i transfer all my music and playlists onto my new phone. I want to transfer the music from my IPhone 4 to 5. If i back up my whole IPhone does that include music? Also i have lots of album art will that be saved under the backup?
First off, I would back up everything to your iCloud. Once you have done that, I would connect your iPhone 4 to your computer and put it all in your iTunes account. I know this is redundant, but I would rather you back it up twice in case something happens. Now that you have transferred everything from your iPhone 4, you can then plug your iPhone 5. Once you have connected the iPhone 5, you can start transferring everything from your iTunes account to your new phone.
From what I can remember, your playlists should all transfer from one phone to the other. If you have shuffled the songs in the playlist, they may have gone back to being listed by artist. There's also a setting in iTunes that will look for all the cover art.
Hope that helps!
- Why is the iPhone 4s cover art in the music smaller than iPhone 5 and 6? I'm not sure how to explain it. I have a iPhone 4s and when I go to my music and click a song, the cover art is a little square, but for an iphone 5 or 6, the cover art covers the whole space.
- Why does itunes keep trying to replace the album artwork I used that is the right album artwork? Itunes keeps replacing the right artwork with the wrong artwork on some albums I have on it. It's so annoying.
- Transfer iPhone music/photos/apps onto new Macbook Pro? I just purchased a Macbook Pro yesterday and I plugged my iPhone 5 into it and was expecting the music to be automatically transferred to my computer, but that did not happen. How do I transfer my music/photos/apps onto my macbook? The computer I had previously used for iTunes is gone and unable to use.
- Is there an free software for Mac which can get you high quality album art? Many songs in my iTunes are from CDs and iTunes couldn't find artwork. So I decided to manually go through and add my own artwork, however that picture, when played on my iPhone (which is the only device I play music on), is very blurry. Is there a software that can scan your library and find high quality album artwork to replace with ones that are missing, not matching, or low quality?
