How to transfer non-purchased music files from PC iTunes library to new Mac library?
I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, and I used iTunes Home Share to transfer my music from my iTunes library on windows to the new one on my Mac. I should have 569 items now if everything went as planned, but the one on my Mac only got 359. My guess is that the non-purchased files weren't transferred and that is why.
Can you tell me how I can transfer everything both purchased and non-purchased to my Mac so I can sync my iPhone without risk of deleting everything? I'm going off to college soon and won't have the ability to do this without my PC at hand.
The easiest way is to find the songs on your old computer and copy them to a flash drive and then copy onto your MacBook Pro. Then you can import them into iTunes.
