How to transfer photos and video from iPhone to Windows 8?

I have some pictures and videos I took with my iPhone and I'm wondering how do I get those pictures from my iPhone to my Windows 8 laptop. I plugged in the USB and the photos app from Windows 8 pops up and says that there aren't any photos or videos on my device. Does anyone know how I can get my photos and videos to my laptop?

If you mean the iPhone camera pictures, Connect your iPhone to computer through USB cable, and then open 'My computer', click on what should say 'Apple iPhone' (possibly have a picture of a camera next to it). And then go to folder 'Internal Storage -> DCIM -> 800AAAAA'. You should find all your pictures and videos that you recorded with your iPhone.

Maybe you can try a wireless way. Wi-Fi transfer can help you transfre photos and videos between iPhone and PC wirelessly. It takes advantages of Wi-Fi network. No need of cables and iTunes. Good luck.

I always use one phone manager called iPhone transfer platinum which helps me transfer various files like photos, videos, songs, etc.between iPhone and computer. And you can finish it by just a few mouse clips.

If you go to my computer and right click the name of your phone you will have a option to import photos.
