How to transfer pictures and contacts from Sony xperia to iPhone 5s?

I've tried logging my email onto the iPhone but nothing happens. Also my iPhone has a new number so does that mean all my chats from my whatsapp (on the Sony phone) will not get transferred? If yes then how do i save those convos/ media from whatsapp?

I believe Apple has an app in their appstore that transfers everything over to iOS for you.
