How to transfer songs from PC to iphone5?

So i have an iphone 5, but i want to put songs on it that are on my computer, but when ever i pluf my iphone into my computer, there's no music option on my phone, just only loads to my camera? And please don't say you gotta download itunes, because i tried that and it's just confusing, is there another way? Or an app i can download on my phone?

Apples arrogance at work here. You must use iTunes says your Apple God. Any other phone will let you copy mp3s directly to the phone or even better (eat your heart out icky phone users) put in a 16 gig micro sd full of music or video.

if its not working youll have to download all the songs using your iphone.
this is easily done using a app caleed mp3 app or something search in app store really easy

Are the songs in the right format (mp3) . You also have to have them in iTunes to transfer them to your phone
