How to transfer the songs from my IPhone onto my ITunes library?

Once I connect my IPhone to my laptop, how is there an option for me to transfer my songs/purchases to my ITunes library?

There's a Transfer Purchases menu.

  • Why won't songs I downloaded from youtube transfer onto my iphone from iTunes? I used an mp3 converter to download songs from youtube to itunes, and then download them to my iphone. I have done this with possibly close to 70 songs. But I just tried it with about 13 songs and it won't transfer, and it shows a little gray dashed circle next to the check mark on itunes, and it will play from itunes, but just won't transfer to my phone.

  • In itunes is there any way to select multiple songs to send to itunes library? I just mixtapes from datpiff and the only way i could put it in my library was to select manage songs manually under my devices. I didn't know that it would delete my songs from my iphone to put that on but it did. I only have songs from itunes, not beemp3 or datpiff.luckily all my songs are saved under the music file and its 319 songs. Is there any way i can select all them to put in my library? I know about the hold shift trick but its not working.
