How to transfer things from one iPhone to another?
I have the iPhone 4 but may be getting the iPhone 4S soon. Is there a way i can transfer my photos, music, & contacts from the 4 to the 4S? & on my MacBook, on iPhoto, when my friend plugged her phone in, it put all her photos there & i don't know where to look for mine now.
Make a back up of your iPhone 4 in iTunes. When you get your new iPhone 4s, then simply connect your new phone to iTunes & hit 'Restore from Backup' rather than using 'Set up as New iPhone'.It is very simple.

Don't you have iTunes?
If you have your things on your iTunes you can just plug your new iPhone on your computer and sync everything to your new iPhone.
If you don't have iTunes you should download one and plug your old iPhone and click transfer purchases
It will transfer apps from your iPhone to the iTunes so you can sync it on your new iPhone.
It would be pain in the a** if you download apps on your new iPhone because if would take too long. Syncing is way faster than downloading apps.
NOTE: If you don't have iTunes you'll have to download new songs manually. And you need iTunes in order to download songs for free. How? You can download songs and add them to your iTunes. From iPhone you need to buy.

There are 4 conversations that I NEED to keep in their entirety, like every text that we've sent to each other needs to be transferred. How do I do this? I haven't activated the new phone yet. I'm waiting until I know what to do about this first.
