How to turn a video from portrait to landscape without rotating it?

I need to rotate a video to landscape. My child took a video on his iphone (which I'm now working with on my PC) but he held the camera in the portrait position so it has black bars on either side of it when we look at it on the computer or youtube.
I don't mind losing some of the picture because there's so much blank space at the top.
How can I do this? I'd prefer a website that will convert it to landscape (like how I've marked it with the yellow lines) without having to purchase software or download anything to my computer if possible. How to turn a video from portrait to landscape without rotating it

I think you would need to software for that. But you could try this

It might be able to zoom your video in a bit, might not help much though.

  • My home button is rotating? I have an iPhone 5 and I got it right after it came out. I have got it for 2 years now and I started to see some changes in it. Around 2-3 months ago I had my power button repaired because it stopped working, and now my home button started rotating both ways when ever I slide my finger on the side of it. I stuck a piece of celetape on it in case I fell out. What should I do? And can it fall out randomly? Why is it doing that?
  • It won't let me switch to landscape mode when I turn my iphone? I read that it must be locked into normal. It said I need to double click the home button and scroll all the way to the left and there will be a lock button to press. But I scrolled all the way to the left and right and it all just my apps! Is there a place in the settings I can go to unlock it instead?
  • Is there an app to change my portrait video to landscape? I forgot to hold my phone sideways when I took a video on my iphone. Is there an app to change the orientation?
  • I record my video on my iPhone in landscape but it saves it as portrait? IIm trying to make a speed drawing video which i have done before so I don't understand why my phone is doing this? I set my phone up on top of some books to see what IIm recording and I make sure it isn't locked on portrait mode. If i record for a very short amount of time it will show up as landscape but my 7 minute video isn't saving as such. Not sure what to do.
