How to turn iphone on silent without using the button?
The button to switch my iphone 3gs on silent is broken. Is there any other way of turning it on silent?
No you can't there's no silent setting in the menus so you would have to turn everything onto silent in the menus every time.
If the switch is broken maybe you could use a paper clip to move the switch? I know of people who have used this method.

- IPhone lock button broken. Can turn off but how do i turn it on? The lock button at the top of my iphone is broken, but i have been using it fine as i have turned on 'Assistive Touch' and have been using the white dot that appears on screen. However, I'm worried about turning it off, and surely the white dot will disappeaer when the phone is off, and I will have no way of turning it on? Am I correct in thinking this?
- IPhone 4 silent button wiggles. Is this a problem? I've had my phone for 3 weeks now and I've noticed that the silent button wiggles a bit when I touch it and feels sorta loose in it's on/off position. It's also gone on silent before without me purposely making it that way. Is this normal for the iPhone 4? Or is this a problem? I have a warranty or anything on it.
