How to turn off my network on iphone?
I'm going on holiday and i don't want to be charged for using internet! There's Wi-Fi in my hotel room but not everywhere in the hotel and definitely not outside of it so what should i do to turn off my network but use Wi-Fi when i'm in my room? I tried going in to cellular and turning off cellular data but the 'dots' for the network connection are still there along with my homes Wi-Fi symbol, so why won't it go away?
Go to airplane mode most of the time.
Go onto settings, click network, then click data roaming off. You can use your iphone and receive texts/calls but won't be charged for data.
Put it in Airplane Mode & leave it there until you get back. You could turn back on Wi-Fi afterwards while keeping AM on.
Turning off cellular data of course doesn't mean you lose your carrier signal (aka the dots on iOS 7 or later running iPhones).
- Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine.
