How to undo allowing people to see if you read their text on iphone 4s?

I foolishly clicked yes when I downloaded the new update for the iphone and it asked me if i wanted to let people see if I read their texts. This has become an issue because I will read a text and not be able to respond right away in turn getting backlash from the person I'm in a conversation with.

Go to your settings, scroll down to Messages, and turn off the "Send Read Receipts"

Or just get a jailbroken iPhone 4S, you can have a very tweat called biteSMS

  • My iPhone 4 is not allowing me to send text messages? I'm able to send and receive txt messages perfectly within USA I have AT&T as my wireless carrier. Once I cross the border to mexico II am able to receive messages but I can't reply because it won't send the message. The first time I went down to Mexico I was able to send some messages but then after some messages it stopped sending messages. This last time I went it never allowed me to send messages but I was able to receive messages. How can I send messages what can I do
  • My apps on my iphone 5s are not allowing me to see any photos that people have sent me? My phone is jailbroken, and certain apps like Kik and Chatous are not allowing me to see pictures that people have sent me. For kik, whenever i try to look at a picture, it says that it is an unknown error. On chatous, whenever someone tries to send me a picture and i try to open it up, all i can see is a black screen, also people can see my picture that i have sent, and again i can't see there's, i really need help! I know there's a feature on the iphone that you can turn off/on that shows someone that you read their text they sent you.Obviously everyone has caught on to this feature and turned it off so its rare your able to see if the person read the text you sent them… I'm curious is there an app i can download that will show me if the person i sent a text msg to has read/opened it, not just delievered… There has to be, there's an app for everything else… Thank you
